Get me a director's chair!
Okay, this has nothing to do with school tips, but it is a personal school victory, so I thought I'd share. I always wanted to direct a school musical, and I finally did. The kids at my school have never done an all-school biblical musical (which I think is a bit odd) so they weren't too thrilled to hear about it at first. I won them over eventually. We performed last night, and it went so well! Of course there were little things that happened, like a cardboard sheep falling over and a beach ball being launched into the audience, but I expected things like that. It went quite smoothly and got rave reviews from parents. They found it to be very entertaining with a strong spiritual message. Perfect! I'm happy. A little bit of stress and a lot of work paid off. For those who are interested, we performed Joseph and the Dream Team Xtreme. Go to http://www.jjonline.com/catalog/productPage.php?productID=17717 to hear clips from the musical. I changed the last scene to make it more Lutheran. I thought the theology was a bit of a stretch, so I just eliminated a few lines.

I thought the musical was a huge success! I heard lots of positive comments from staff and parents!
