I tell you, this summer is looking better and better.  Last summer, I wrote a couple of chapters of one book, wrote an article or two, and planned another book (well - mostly just thought about it.)  I had a rough year at school and needed half of the summer just to recuperate, so I didn't get as much writing traction as I had hoped.

This summer is already looking much more productive.  School is hectic, but not as emotionally stressful as last year.  So, I should need all of two days to recover.  Then, I can jump into my writing.

I made contact with a devotional editor and an educational editor this past week.  No promises of publication, but they do want to see what I've been working on and what I've published.  I hope I have the skills they want, because I certainly have the enthusiasm.  I want to have a summer full of projects.  And, getting paid would be good, too.

Besides, I told my class I was planning on writing a book this summer.  I'd better follow through!
