Isaiah 9:66 For to us a child is born,
   to us a son is given;
 and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
   and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
   Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.


Prince of Peace?  Many Jews have not believed Jesus was the Messiah, because the world still remained without peace.  Look around today.  Read the headlines on any given day.

Where's the peace?  If You were or are the Prince of Peace, then where is it?

Jesus said in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

He did not come to give us an earthly peace.  He came to give us spiritual and eternal peace.  The war we should most be concerned about is the one in our souls. Jesus has brought us peace. He has won the war. So why do we continue to let sin and the devil act as if they are the victors?

That tiny babe in Bethelehem had more power, even as an infant, than the devil could ever muster. Remember who is Lord of your heart, your soul.
