Call Me Ishmael
I just realized I don't know how to spell Ishmael. I hope that's right, because I'm not looking it up.
Actually, don't call me that.
Call me by my new call sign. Yes, the FCC database finally (after 7 long days!) contains my call sign for ham radio.
I am KD0DCJ.
It just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? Well, not yet, but I hope it will some day.
I tried out a radio last night, and said my call sign wrong. Duh! Then, I was kind of afraid to have anyone hear my voice.
These are the traits of a ham radio operator, aren't they??
Maybe if I answer the phone with my call sign for a few days, I'll remember it and get used to saying it.
